Cooperation with the Innovation Incubator 4.0
We are pleased to announce that Łukasz Feldman, President of the Management Board, has become a member of the Investment Committee evaluating pre-implementation projects as part of the Innovation Incubator 4.0 project implemented by the consortium: Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology of prof. Wacław Dąbrowski National Research Institute (“IBPRS-PIB”), Warsaw School of Economics (“SGH”) and the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn (“IRZiBŻ”).
The aim of the project is to support the management of research and development results, mainly in the field of commercialization. The implementation of the program should contribute to the promotion of scientific achievements, increasing their impact on the development of innovation and strengthening cooperation between the scientific community and the economic environment.
The following activities will be supported under the project:
conducting pre-implementation works, including laboratory tests or adapting the invention to the needs of the interested buyer;
preparation of commercialization projects for the results of scientific research and development works, including in particular the analysis of the market potential of inventions and the analysis of their readiness for implementation, as well as the valuation of industrial property rights;
initiating and strengthening cooperation between the scientific community and the economic environment, including searching for entities interested in implementing the results of scientific research and development works, by promoting the technological offer and participating in science to business exhibitions and fairs;
technology portfolio management;
activities of Innovation Brokers responsible for establishing cooperation between the scientific community and the economic environment, which will result in the application of the results of scientific research and development works within specific market solutions.

We hereby wish to inform you that Brave Seed Fund sp.z o.o. Kujawsko-Pomorski Fundusz Kapitałowy ASI Sp.k. concluded an agreement with the Bydgoszcz branch of the Polish Economic Society (PTE), an agreement on the acquisition, evaluation, implementation and commercialization of research and development companies implemented in the province. Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. PTE and Brave Seed Fund have cooperated for over a year as part of an informal partnership relationship.
The agreement concluded between the parties is aimed at initiating and conducting R&D works with the originators and portfolio companies of Brave Seed Fund in order to develop new technologies, effectively conduct R&D works in cooperation with companies from the region and implement innovations.
The aim of the cooperation is also to conduct joint implementation projects, commercialization of the results of research and development works of spinning companies operating in the region of Kujawy and Pomerania as well as dissemination of knowledge and technological achievements in the domestic and foreign environment.
We would like to thank the management board of PTE, Grzegorz Grześkowiak and Robert Lauks, for their involvement in the commercialization of the You Art Gift and Artigiano projects and for supporting their development in the province. “Live better for longer” is the keynote of Victor, a project that combines knowledge in the field of medicine, physiology and psychology in order to help its users build healthy habits. Brave Seed Fund Sp. z o.o. The Warmia i Mazur Capital Fund ASI sp. K. Decided to make an equity entry into Projekt Victor (https://www.okvictor.com/features) in the amount of PLN 2.0 million.
The aim of the originators of the project is to develop a mobile application, the task of which will be to analyze information on the physical activity and health of users, and to provide them with reliable and credible recommendations to improve it. The application will include an interface that allows for integration with business customers who share Victor’s mission and strive to improve the health and quality of life of their customers. The originators plan to use the data collected via the application also in scientific research aimed at broadening the knowledge of, among others in the field of building immunity and preventing disease.
After implementing the application in Poland, measures will be taken to expand into foreign markets, including in Great Britain and the USA. The internationalization of the project will take place thanks to the support of the investor ecosystem and partnerships concluded by Brave Seed Fund, among others cooperation with StartUp & Fly in the USA (https://startupandfly.com/).

Another week – another partnership agreement! On October 26, Brave Seed Fund sp.z o.o. Kujawsko-Pomorski Fundusz Kapitałowy ASI Sp.k. concluded an agreement with Laboratorium inLAB (http://www.inlab.byd.pl/).
The inLAB laboratory was established by the University of Economy as part of the WSG Innovation Wizard in order to develop tools to expand the inflow of innovative solutions for the economy, in the form of an innovative model of transferring knowledge from universities to enterprises. Due to its strategic importance for all stakeholders and beneficiaries, the project is under the patronage of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. Since its inception, inLAB has been tasked with commercializing the university’s achievements as well as individual work and projects of academic staff, and is a zone of effective cooperation between entrepreneurs and scientists. Formalizing cooperation through a signed partnership agreement between Laboratorium inLAB and Brave Seed Fund sp.z o.o. Kujawsko-Pomorski Fundusz Kapitałowy aims to create an ecosystem contributing to more effective research and development works and their commercialization in the country and abroad. The cooperation will not only enable the use of the educational and scientific achievements of the university, but will also provide the originators and Brave Seed Fund portfolio companies with access to the research and development infrastructure located at WSG in Bydgoszcz.
The first beneficiaries of the established cooperation are Artigiano & Co – a portfolio company of the Fund, and Azimuthe and Good Care Today, which will soon join the Brave Seed Fund portfolio.
The joint initiative is in line with both the assumptions of the Human Capital Program implemented under Priority VIII under the supervision of the Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, under which the inLAB Laboratory implements the project “inLAB – Innovative laboratory of science and business cooperation”, and the Operational Agreement 4 / RPWM / 5618/2019 / I / DIF / 157 concluded on 02/08/2019 between Brave Seed Fund Sp. z o.o. and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.
